Usually, I am off during Saturdays and Sundays, however, some of our branches have drive-in service from 8:00-12:00 on Saturdays, so the staff and officers of the Information Systems department had to take turns to man the Helpdesk for 4 hours every Saturday. After being employed for almost 3 months, today is my turn to be in the office for 4 hours. We have an option to be in the office physically or stay at home and use a VPN (virtual private network) access to help our employees with their computer issues but I opted to be in the office as this is more convenient and less stressful since I have all the resources here with me in case something unexpected comes up. Actually, I only need a laptop/desktop, fast internet connection, telephone and of course VPN rights granted by our Network Administration to make use of VPN access (which I all have), but the last time that my co-worker used it, he had trouble clocking in via VPN and for some reason, he said the connection was horribly slow since the process is we're going to get into our computer at work in order to shadow into someone else's computer to fix their computer problems. Am I making sense? Well, anyway, I'm not going to delve into the technicalities of my job right now. Hehehe! In short, I am working today and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. As of 11:00 A.M. today, I only had 3 calls and all of them were about being locked out of the network and the bank's core banking software. Pretty much easy to fix, no sweat on my part, lol! One hour more to go and I'm outta here. I'm actually excited 'coz me and Jeff are going to Fayetteville this afternoon to celebrate our First Wedding Anniversary. We're gonna spend the night there and I'm not about to spoil the fun by writing in advance what's gonna happen but I anticipated it to be fun, exciting, nature-related, laid-back, relaxing and memorable. (*wink) I've already dropped my EC's to my regular and constant Entrecard visitors so I'm not going to bring my laptop with me 'coz I want to spend all my time with Jeff. Have a fun weekend, everyone!
