Off to the Philippines...

Today is our flight to the Philippines. I am extremely nervous. Traveling with a 20-month old toddler alone won't be an easy feat. But I have to do this. I want my family to see Caleb. So I'm sure this trip would be worth it. I'm leaving with a heavy heart though. I will miss my hubby so much! I hate that Caleb would have to be away from his dad for a long time. But hubby thinks it's important for Caleb to know my family and our culture. So while it breaks his heart to be away from his dear son, he wants us to have fun and enjoy our vacation in the Philippines. Hopefully everything will turn out alright.

A love story captured in photographs.

My pre-nuptial wedding pictorial was one of the highlights of our grand wedding in the Philippines in 2010. For a day, we felt like celebrities, lol! Three separate shoot locations, six outfit changes, two make-up artists making sure we look good on cam and two excellent wedding photographers who transformed our magnificent love story into amazing photographs. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Like in almost all nice weddings, they say one must invest in great photography. And we didn’t regret that we did, because apart from the memories, our wedding photos are the next best thing that’s left for us to cherish. I wouldn’t be surprised if people who plan to get married would look into great photography service like wedding photography raleigh nc. After all, you deserve the best on your most special day.

Weeks of packing.

Nope, those are not trash, lol! They're actually packing paper from our cross-country move a couple of months ago, and I am just reusing them as well as the boxes for our move to our new house next month. My little guy thought it's fun to jump in there and mess with whatever I was doing, lol! Too funny!

I'm so glad we have a few wardrobe boxes. It's so much easier to pack our clothes this way. Makes everything faster. Gotta get back to packing now before my little guy wakes up from his nap.

Busy as can be: Getting ready!

I can't believe it's August already. In a few more weeks, Caleb and I will be vacationing to the Philippines. I am excited. Everyone in my family is excited. They are so ready to see Caleb. I don't think Caleb knows he's got a new whole world of excitement and adventure up ahead. It will be a different place and culture for him. I just hope he will enjoy the vacation as much as I will. However, I am a little bit worried for our long flight back to my country. Being a toddler and all, I know it will be difficult for him to be in a constricted area for that much period of time. I could only hope that the new toys, books, DVDs that I got for him will keep him entertained while in the plane or else it's going to be a nightmare for me and of course for the people that will be seated close to us, lol! In addition to our big trip, we might be moving into our new house this month or earlier next month. Regardless of the date, I have to start putting our things in boxes anytime soon. I may no longer be here to help Jeff with the move but I want to get a head start by helping him pack our stuff. It sure is a busy month for me! Life is an adventure, indeed!

Is insurance necessary?

Insurance can be complex to understand, but it’s a necessary part of life. In most states, you can’t drive a car without an insurance policy. When you buy a house, you want to protect your biggest investment from unforeseen circumstances such as flood, fire, burglary or storm, so home insurance is important. When you get sick, you want to get timely medical care with less financial burden for medical bills. Some people would even get no exam life insurance policies, to make sure their loved ones will be taken care of in the event of death or permanent disability. While one may hate paying the monthly premiums, insurance is a necessary evil which the pros outweigh the cons.
