I have read recently that during the first trimester of pregnancy, the woman’s body produces a glycoprotein hormone also known as Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. It is a natural hormone that develops in the placenta shortly after conception. As a matter of fact, early pregnancy testing in general, is based on the detection or measurement of hCG. Well, I’m pretty sure most moms out there are aware of the occurrence of this hormone during pregnancy. But what intrigues me is an article I’ve found talking about hcg diet recipes. Surely, these weight loss forerunners are trying to use anything possible in this world to concoct formulas so they could come up with products that they can sell to desperate consumers. I’ve read a little about it. It seems controversial. Some people might have tried it but I for one, don’t want any artificial hCG hormones injected in my system for the purpose of losing weight.

Hey Jenn!
It has been a little bit since I've visited, but I wanted to say congrats to you on being a first time expectant.
Enjoy the rest of the week my friend!
I agree too---why would you want something artificial injected in your body while pregnant? I'll pass. LOL.
You're supposed to gain a little bit of weight when you're pregnant, anyway. Just enjoy the pregnancy by maintaining your health, and watching the changes in your body. :)
So true, its like sacrificing your life and the child's life for vanity. That's too risky.
Hope you’re in good health always. Have a healthy baby soon...
