Passport renewal in San Francisco.

I am most looking forward to our vacation to the Philippines in August. It’s going to be the first time for my family to see Caleb and they are so excited about it. Jeff won’t be vacationing with us so I have mixed emotions about it. We know it will be good for Caleb to meet his grandparents in the Philippines. At the same time, we want him to see my part of the world, introduce him to the culture, language and traditions.

We have taken care of important things right away for this trip to be possible. Our plane tickets have been booked. We applied for Caleb’s passport this morning. Hopefully, we’re going to get it in the mail in a few weeks. Then I have to renew my Philippine passport. Now this part is actually a pain in the buttocks, lol! Montana is under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in San Francisco, California so I have to travel all the way there for passport renewal.

I have never been to California so I am actually nervous but the same time excited for this little adventure of mine. My top agenda of course is to get this passport thing done but I have plans to explore the city a little bit. I’ve been doing my research and I know which places I would like to go and visit, given the limited time I have. I’d like to see Chinatown and try authentic dim sum. The hotel that I’ll be staying is close to Union Square so I know finding a place to eat won’t be an issue. I’m sure there will be all kinds of food kiosks everywhere in this part of town so I’ll definitely explore.
