It's great to be back!

I am back! I can’t believe we were away for 4 days. It didn’t feel that long. I wish we could have stayed longer in Memphis but we had to come back for Jeff’s work. The city of Memphis was bigger than what I had expected. Traffic wasn’t that bad as Dallas, but like most big cities, the road system was convoluted. We got lost a couple of times, lol! I guess I just wasn’t a very good navigator. I’ve relied so much on Mapquest and sometimes their directions suck. Jeff prefers the old school, atlas and road maps, and all (he’s good at it), but he can’t drive and read a road map at the same time. So when Mapquest fails me, he would ask me to look it up on the real map and that’s when I start to screw things up. Good job! Definitely, a reliable GPS navigator tops our list of things to buy for this year. Despite the minor mishaps, generally it was a great trip. There were so many things to see and do but there just wasn’t enough time so we’ll probably visit Memphis again in the future. I was told that barbeque in Memphis is excellent, so I tried it twice and I loved it. As much as I hate to admit it, but yeah, we were pigging out the whole time we were there. I’ve heard that there are food that burns fat when you eat them, but I was pretty sure what we’re eating back there didn’t belong to that group, lol! Anyway, that's alright. I had the time of my life. It was one of our best vacations ever. I'll share photos on my next posts. In the meantime, it feels good to be back.

I don't rely on Mapquest anymore. It made us lost a couple of times. We like our Magellan GPS way much better. One touch and voice-prompted--you don't need to read a paper printout of Mapquest anymore.

Good thing, your trip came out so great.
