The look of elegance...

I’ve been here in the U.S. for almost 2 years now but there are trivial things that still surprise me. Like for instance, I didn’t realize that you can get sexy leather lingerie if you want to. I mean, I thought lingeries are supposed to be just made of lacy material. Poor naïve Jen! There you go, ladies out there, if you’re tired of the typical lace lingerie, kick it up a notch by including leather into your sexy wardrobe collection.

Make them feel comfy and safe

I think moms would agree with me that one of the best things of being parents is making sure you provide for their needs and giving them the comfort they deserve. Shopping for baby clothes, food, toys and the like is definitely fun for proud parents. It is more enjoyable if you bring the baby with you, it’s usually part of the bonding. But of course, you may want to consider the baby’s safety. Tucking them safely in a Bob stroller would make both of your lives easier. After all, bonding moments is never limited at the comforts of your own house.

Gifts mean so much to moms

Mother’s Day is just around the corner. It’s the perfect time for us to show our moms we care. Though it’s essential to let them know we love them every day, I think it’s going to make their day special when they get some surprise presents from you on Mother’s Day. Too busy to shop around, you can always find a best buy at some stores online. Showing our love to our moms in a very special way is now just a click away.

My New Toy...IPod Touch!

Every once in a while, I love to listen to music and watch music videos. But I’ve always used the inexpensive, no-brand name mp3 players that I’ve bought from the Philippines. I’ve never owned any fancy IPod technology ever…until yesterday. I got my first ever IPod and it’s no less than the IPod Touch! Weeeeeeee! My little heart is jumping with joy. Thanks to my rich internet boyfriend…wink! It’s actually a running joke in the house whenever hubby gets me something nice and expensive, lol! Anyway, IPod Touch rocks! I lurrvv it! Aside from the very obvious cool feature which is the touch screen, you can store as much as 3,500 songs and 20 hours of video, save photos, get map and directions, check the weather, save notes and reminders, and so much more. It’s Wi-Fi ready so you can check your email, visit web sites and even watch youtube videos when you’re close to a Wi-Fi internet connection. How cool is that! I don’t really play games even on my laptop but IPod Touch also lets you download all sorts of cool games. I’ll definitely make use of this feature when we go on long travels. I can ramble all day about my new cool toy but I gotta go online and buy more songs and familiarize myself with its features.

It's family bonding time,,,

It’s summertime. Get those fine outdoor furniture ready, relax and enjoy the sun while bonding with your family and friends. One thing I’ve noticed here in the U.S., people rarely come out and sit outside their houses. One major factor I guess is the cold weather. That’s why kids and adults alike love to hang out in their backyards, porches and balconies in the spring and summer. While it’s fun to do that, the sun can do damage to your expensive patio furniture, so you might want to protect them with patio furniture covers.

A necessary evil?

Like so many other Filipinas, I did not know how to drive until I move to the U.S. There’s so much public transportation in the Philippines that you would not really feel the need to learn how to drive. The idea of driving my own red air-conditioned car, and not having to wait in queue with other passengers to get a jeepney ride excite me. I thought that’s all there is in driving. Little did I know that driving here in the U.S. entails financial responsibility. There’s the monthly payment, property tax, vehicle registration and full-coverage car insurance. Dealing with insurance can be stressful and confusing, let alone finding the right one for you. As a newbie, I am very careful with my driving as I know this could affect our insurance policy. A driving record that is loaded with offenses, young drivers under the age of 25 or first time drivers, policyholders charged with a DUI/DWI or multiple violations on their driving record which are often referred to as “bad drivers commonly fall under the classification of car insurance for high risk drivers. They say it’s a necessary evil but if you shop around, you might be able to find cheap auto insurance policy online even if you are a high risk driver.

Finally...it find its way to them!

After waiting for what seemed like forever, the Balikbayan box finally arrived at my parent’s house. I was told there was some issue with the cargo shipping company so the Filipino store that I dropped my box at had to look for a different company. Well, anyway, everything is settled. The box arrived. I was a bit worried at first but I just knew deep within that it’ll get to the destination eventually. My family was ecstatic. It was supposed to be a Christmas package but they were still happy even if it’s belated. Anyway, I had a quiet and relaxing weekend. It’s been a while since we last drove to the mall and shop. Hubby was busy with work. He had to work 6 days a week and I understand it’s almost taking its toll on him. So we just stayed at home and get busy with our computers. I’ve done a whole lot of researching lately, just about anything and everything. For some reason, I came across with a site about automotive lifts, I’m thinking auto shop owners and service managers will definitely make use of this website.

Nonsense rambling

The week is over. There’s not much to blog about really. We just feel blessed from the Easter service in church today. I enjoyed the 2-days off. I’ve dropped EC on my droppers, however, I’m not quite happy with the changes that has been happening with my Entrecard Paid Ads recently. What’s goin’ on? Why do I suddenly have a lot of advertisers that I don’t really feel like approving? Anyway, I want to get my mind off blogging and dropping. I’m planning to get an IPOD. Yeah, I know, I’ve been talking about it for quite some time. I originally plan to get the IPod Nanochromatic but I kinda’ like the IPOD Touch as well. Hubby didn’t object with my desire to have an IPod Touch so we’ll see. There’s no holiday sale, so I guess I’ll have to pay the original price huh!

My thoughts on a Good Friday

It frustrates me when I learn that I still need to work on a Good Friday. I'm sure many of you here know that Holy Week in the Philippines is such a big deal that even business establishments observed at least Good Friday. But here in the U.S. Holy Week seems to be like just ordinary days. However, in our own little ways, we tried to ponder the significance of this week. We wanted to prepare our hearts and minds for Good Friday so we watched The Passion of the Christ last night. I've seen the movie a couple of times before, nevertheless, it had not lessen the impact the movie has on me. It had always made me feel weak, tearful and repentant. The movie may not be 100% accurate to what really had happened to Jesus, but most part of the movie are based on what's written in the Bible. The very graphic interpretation of Jesus' last 12 hours on Earth had left me pensive. Jesus went through humiliation and physical suffering before His Death because He chose to lay down His Life for us. As a sinner, I don't feel worthy. But I stand in Awe of His Greatness. Thank you, my Lord, my God for saving a sinner like me.

Sexy without the expense

Who would not want to look sexy without the expense? It is every woman’s desire to look ravishing and sexy in their husband’s eyes all the time. But in this trying times, spending a ridiculous amount from their hard-earned dollars for a skimpy bedroom outfit is the least of everyone’s priority. The good news is that you can buy discount lingerie online. Interested? Check it out yourself!

The reluctant loser

How safe are diet pills? Do they actually work? To be honest, I don’t know. I’m trying to lose some weight but I have not resorted to diet pills, for the simple reason that I am scared to try. I have no idea where is the best place to buy diet pills. Sure, you can find a lot of places to get them but the question is, are they selling effective ones? I’ve heard of people having unexplained side effects after they start to take diet pills but I’m sure, to some people, it had actually helped them reach their goal. But personally, I’m still into the safest way to lose weight which is proper exercise and right amount of diet. Unfortunately, as for me, it has been a struggle to maintain both. LOL!

Booked and Confirmed at Casino Español

It's final and official. My wedding reception is going to be at Casino Español Ballroom. My mom had gone to meet Aneth, the venue's account executive last Wednesday. We made a downpayment for my wedding that's going to be on January 9th, 2010. I know it's still 9 long months before the big day but I just want to secure the reception as early as now because we could not afford to move the date any longer. We're only be staying in the Philippines for a little over a month and since we want to spend the holidays there, there's not much options but to have it either on the 2nd or 9th of January. Since January 2nd has already been booked by someone else, I didn't have much choice but to move it on the 9th. I like it because it's a Saturday and people must have been rested enough from the holidays so I hope everyone invited could come and celebrate with us on our special day.

The place has 12 different menu packages to choose from. It ranges from Php408.00 - Php928.00/pax, exclusive of beverages and service fee of 7%. They serve 5 different kinds of appetizers, 5 main course, rice and 2 kinds of desserts. They offer free corkage for lechon so I plan to get 2 lechon for the occasion. For my guests who have sweet tooth, a chocolate fountain set-up of pure Belgian chocolates is something that they could look forward to. Oh, am I excited! The preparation and planning is definitely not yet over but I'm glad that we have so much time in our hands, not to mention the power of Internet technology has really helped me with my supplier choices providing me convenient ways to get in touch with them even if I'm thousand miles away from the Philippines.
