Reliving my Grand Slam Team of the 90's

As I look back upon my college days, I can vividly remember the phase when I was so into the basketball sport, specifically PBA. I was once an Alaska fan. Though right now, I could no longer say that with conviction but the Alaska Team headed by Team Owner Fred Uytengsu and Team Coach Tim Cone will always have a soft spot in my heart as far as PBA is concerned. I must say that Alaska Team back in 1996 with the formidable trio, Jojo Lastimosa, Bong Hawkins and my idol, Johnny 'The Flying A' Abarrientos definitely made a major impact in my life. I’d watched all of their important games, once bought a Ringside ticket for a PBA Finals against the San Miguel Team in Cebu Coliseum, took pictures of the star players, rejoiced with them and the rest of the fans when they’d won their games, felt sad and lonely when they’d lost…All that and more…I was so much of a die-hard and raving fan. I’m sure all of you who’ve rooted for a particular sports team can relate to what I’m ranting here.

My favorite team is no longer composed of the players that I had once patronized but the sports videos that were compiled throughout the years still remind me of them.
